Zimowa torpedownia

Czasami, tak jak podczas ostatniego pleneru, dopada mnie chwila zwątpienia. Czy naprawdę nie mogłem znaleźć sobie hobby, w którym mógłbym spełniać się siedząc w cieple domowego ogniska? Zamiast stać po pas w wodzie, obijany po nogach lodową krą miotaną przez wzburzone morze, marznąć na silnym wietrze? Przezwyciężając astygmatyzm i walcząc z wpadającym do oczu lepkim śniegiem raczej zgadywać niż ustawiać ostrość w kompletnych ciemnościach? A potem wyświetla mi się zdjęcie na podglądzie i na zapominam o niedogodnościach. I o to chyba chodzi 🙂

Sometimes, like during the last outdoor shoot, a moment of doubt creeps in. Did I really have to choose a hobby that couldn’t be pursued while sitting comfortably by the warmth of a home hearth? Instead of standing waist-deep in water, my legs battered by icy floes hurled around by the rough sea, freezing in strong winds? Of struggling against astigmatism and sticky snow blowing into my eyes, more guessing than actually setting focus in near-total darkness? And then the image appears on the preview screen, and I forget all the discomforts. And that’s probably what it’s all about 🙂
