Miejscowa łódeczka prawie nigdy nie zawodzi, nawet jeśli nie jest to (z tego miejsca najczęściej bardzo fotogeniczny) zachód. Przyznam, że z powodu cieplejszych zim w ostatnich latach, długo musiałem czekać na możliwość zrobienia takiego kadru. W końcu jednak zatoka zaczęła zamarzać, na lodzie było wystarczająco dużo śniegu, a na niebie pojawiły się chmury lecące we „właściwym” kierunku. To wystarczyło by miejskie światła Gdyni i Gdańska podświetliły dalszy plan i chmury, a przydrożne lampy za moimi plecami oświetliły pierwszy plan i taflę lodu. Na szczęście lampy sodowe, które przez lata uniemożliwiały zrobienie w tym miejscu nocnego zdjęcia (przez „dziurawe” widmo emitowanego światła) zostały zastąpione czymś fotograficznie dużo bardziej przyjaznym 🙂

The small local boat almost never disappoints, even when it isn’t a sunset (which from this spot is usually very photogenic). I have to admit that due to the warmer winters of recent years, I had to wait a long time for the chance to make a frame like this. Eventually, however, the bay began to freeze, there was enough snow on the ice, and clouds appeared moving in the “right” direction. That was enough for the city lights of Gdynia and Gdańsk to illuminate the distant background and the clouds, while the roadside lamps behind my back lit the foreground and the frozen surface. Fortunately, the sodium lamps that for years made night photography at this location impossible (because of the “hole-ridden” spectrum of the light they emitted) have been replaced with something far more photographer-friendly 🙂
