Zatoka Pucka
W nocy z 9 na 10 stycznia 2026 r. byłem w Kuźnicy na półwyspie i fotografowałem słynną kuźnicką łódkę na tle zatoki skutej lodem. W planach na 10 stycznia miałem zdjęcia zachodu w tej samej lokalizacji, zatem gdy przyjechałem tam przed zachodem zdziwiłem się mocno nie zastając lodu. Zniknął. Północno wschodni wiatr zdmuchnął go na drugą stronę zatoki, jednak zagubiony lód „znalazłem” dopiero po zachodzie. Pogody się nie wybiera, trzeba się dostosować do warunków. Udało mi się przejść przez warstwę torosów i wleźć po ciemku do wody, by brodząc między krami szukać kadru. Zaliczyłem najtrudniejsze warunki w jakich robiłem zdjęcia: w ciemności, w silnym wietrze, podczas zadymki, spychany przez nacierające kry, ślizgając się na kamieniach na dnie i taflach zatopionego lodu.

On the night of January 9–10, 2026, I was in Kuźnica photographing the famous Kuźnica boat against the backdrop of the bay frozen over with ice. I had planned to shoot the sunset in the same location on January 10, so when I arrived before sunset, I was quite surprised to find no ice at all. It was gone.
A northeast wind had blown it across to the other side of the bay, but I only “found” the missing ice after sunset. You don’t get to choose the weather — you have to adapt to the conditions.
I managed to make my way through a layer of pressure ridges and wade into the water in the dark, searching for a composition among drifting ice floes. These were the toughest conditions I’ve ever shot in: darkness, strong wind, blowing snow, being pushed by advancing ice, and slipping on rocks and submerged sheets of ice beneath my feet.
